The Cool Games Fantasy League
draws to a close and.....
Congratulations to Lee Adair, who picked up
the
coveted "Foster Brewing Commemorative Trophy" by winning
the Cool Games Fantasy Premier League 2009. Finishing only
eight points clear of Robin Brookes in what turned out to be
titanic tussle at the top of the table. The heavyweights slugged
it out all season with the lead changing countless times, before
Lee's team "The Eleven Slaves" emerged triumphant. Unfortunately
Lee was not available to receive his trophy due to being in
Europe scouting for for talent for next season, but another
competitor Barry Stringer, was on hand to receive the stunning
trophy on his behalf. Barry, who's own team was humbled into
last position, was however gracious and admitted the best team
had won, but vowed to return next year stronger. Paul Howarth,
who presented the trophy remarked "Unlucky Baz, concentrate
more on the football next year, and less on the equestrian
grooming.... " For more
